Fall-Winter season oils for skincare
Hi!
The beauty industry is saturated with cosmetics containing natural ingredients, including oils. Some of them can easily find a place in the fall and winter skincare. Which oils are best for you?
Sweet almond oil
It is a dry oil with vitamins A, B, D, and E, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids. It is recommended for dry, sensitive, parched, normal and mixed (in the dry areas only) skin. It is not suitable for oily skin (T-zone) due to the possibility of clogging the pores and causing blackheads. Sweet almond oil:
- restores radiance,
- soothes irritations,
- moisturizes,
- prevents water loss,
- replaces makeup base,
- ensures lifting and flattening of minor wrinkles.
Marula oil
It is obtained from Marula tree fruits. It contains vitamin C, flavonoids, omega 9 and tocopherol. It’s recommended for sensitive, mature and acne-prone skin. Marula oil shouldn’t be used for oily or mixed skin. Marula oil:
- moisturizes,
- smoothes out,
- flattens wrinkles,
- is antibacterial,
- soothes irritations.
Jojoba oil
It contains lots of vitamins, phytosterols, fatty acids, and squalene. Reportedly, it is similar in build to the human sebum so it absorbs very well and fast. This oil is great for dehydrated, dry, allergy-prone, sensitive, acne-prone, oily and mixed skin. Jojoba oil:
- deeply moisturizes,
- prevents water loss,
- soothes sunburns,
- nourishes.
Argan oil
It is one of the most popular oils because it is highly effective and contains plenty of nourishing ingredients. It works perfectly for dry, thick, irritated, and mature skin. You shouldn’t use it if you have mixed, oily or acne-prone skin because argan oil can clog pores. Argan oil:
- moisturizes,
- flattens minor wrinkles,
- softens and makes skin supple,
- protects against external factors.
