Eye serum vs eye cream – which is better?

Hello, my darlings.

I know most of you don’t bother with skin care around eyes, though — perhaps right now also many of you felt anxious — from the moment you reach 25 years you should “take a closer look” and delve into the subject a little more because more or less at this time collagen fibres start to decline. Result? First laughter lines, dark under-eye circles and bags, general skin condition weakening. Proper skin care can make you age slower and the key to it is the choice of right cream or serum.

Exactly. Most women never think about the difference between eye cream and serum. Is it better to buy a cream or serum for eyes area? How do the two work?

The answer is simple: serum is more effective because it contains numerous highly concentrated components which reach deeper skin layers (eye serum contains smaller particles so is able to better penetrate the skin and concentrate on improving external skin layer). The eye cream is cosmetic that works on the surface and improves its appearance, elasticity and general condition. The perfect solution is to combine both — this way you can impact all skin layers providing it with not only the regeneration but also protection for the external layers.

Many women decide on eye serum for morning skin care because it’s lighter and absorbs better, so there is no greasy, unaesthetic layer on the face. The eye cream is better as a night skin care — it is thick and full-bodied and can perfectly influence “sleeping” and resting skin.

Young girls who do not need to use eye creams with lifting and anti-wrinkle properties, can use eye serum at night and in the morning apply the standard face cream. It will be enough to provide skin with proper care. However, skin after the 35th year of life should be treated with more care and this is why the best solution is serum and cream at the same time. First, apply the light and fast absorbing serum then thicker eye cream. One is certain: serum is an amazing invention which works where the power of eye cream ends. The sooner you start to use the light serum, the better for your delicate under-eye skin.
